Active Learning Summer Intern Introductions: Sophia Lee

Hi everyone!
My name is Sophia and I am a rising junior at Harvard studying History of Science with a focus in Computer Science.
From my idyllic childhood outdoor adventures, I became passionate about environmental sustainability and interested in how science shapes individual choices.
Therefore, through my academic studies, I am able to develop technical skills while combining them with a deeper understanding of science’s impact on society.
In the future, I would like to apply my interdisciplinary background by working in the health and wellness industry and improving people’s lives.
Outside of academics, I currently work on The Crimson’s (Harvard’s student-run newspaper) business and design boards to strengthen my creative marketing and entrepreneurship skills.
Additionally, I love sharing my passion for the environment by working as a peer educator for Harvard’s Office for Sustainability.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling and exploring the world's urban and natural beauty, eating at Yelp-approved restaurants, and taking Instagram-worthy photos of the aforementioned activities.
I am so excited to learn and grow with Active Learning this summer and make Tokyo another piece of home!
